Will my pension increase in line with the cost of living?

Each April, while you are an active member paying into the scheme, the value of your pension account is adjusted to reflect changes in the cost of living.

This adjustment is based on the increase in the Consumer Prices Index (CPI) from September to September. The CPI increase for the year to September 2025 was 3.8%, and as a result, your pension account increased by 3.8% from 6 April 2026.

You can view your pension details online by logging in to the Member Self Service portal. Visit pensions.lambeth.gov.uk to log in or follow the on‑screen instructions to create an account.
